The M Family

Edina found me through another client of mine and asked that I take her daughter's birthday pictures. Once again, the things we do for pictures - the only time we could do it was on a Sunday evening when the high that day was probably about 110. And it wasn't a whole lot better in the shade, even at 7pm :( Poor little M was sweating like crazy, but she was having a blast! We went to Mayfield Park and she had such a good time looking at all the ponds, peacocks, and people. M held up better than most kids I photograph - she braved the heat as well as 3 outfits! She is just as sweet as she can be and a joy to photograph. I look forward to seeing how she takes care of her baby sister due to make an appearance in a few short weeks.

What a sweet picture of a girl and her Daddy :)

She was very intent on reading to her baby.

We were reminded that where there are beautiful peacocks, there is also peacock poop. Luckily a spray bottle took care of the problem :)

This is one of those action shots that I just love, don't ask me why. I just do...

She was trying to sneak up of the peacocks :)

She is really excited about her baby sister on the way :)

What a sweet family

The R Family

Ahh, my yearly visit with the R family. We did a shoot this time last year in downtown Round Rock. I now know that these shoots are going to be far from boring. These kids know how to ham it up for the camera, even when they are tired because of being forced out of bed to beat the Texas heat. This is my 3rd session with this family and it's fun to see how everyone changes over the years. Thanks for bearing the heat with me and making me laugh!

Too funny!

Baby TC is here!

This shoot has special meaning to me for a couple of reasons. One, Mary is one of my best childhood friends. We had a lot of fun growing up and I'm glad she's still a part of my life today. Another reason is that her husband does what few can, he's a soldier. He was actually deployed when his son was born via emergency c-section and then put in NICU. This has been a very stressful situation for them, but Daddy is finally here and Mommy and baby are doing good. Meet TC. He has 3 older sisters, so good luck keeping up, TC! He was a model baby for me. He let us do whatever we wanted with him and only cried for a total of probably 2 minutes the entire time. Big sister C wasn't quite as cooperative, but we were able to get a few of her squeezed in :) Thank you Mary for always having faith in my photography skills and I'm really happy for you and your beautiful family! Enjoy!

That's one proud Daddy :)

Son of a Soldier

LOVE that belly!

Doesn't he have the most perfect little face you've ever seen?

The whole family -- this was no easy photo to take! :)

This should give you an idea what we went through for that ONE family photo!

All thanks to this little angelic face :)

This is Mary with her two oldest girls -- These are my favorite kind of photos to take. I love capturing true emotion. If this picture doesn't make you smile, you're crazy...

Love this family...

Martin, Class of 2011

This shoot is proof of social media at work. An old co-worker and friend who I haven't seen in about 5 years found me on facebook and asked that I take senior portraits of her son. She's a teacher who has been crazy busy trying to finish out the year and hasn't had time to set up a photo shoot. She didn't think it could be done in time, but I was a woman on a mission! We took pictures and she had them in hand the night before his graduation. Martin is quite the character. It's hard to relax with a camera in your face, but he did good. Especially when we hit up the playground :) Congrats Martin and good luck in the future!

Happy 1st Birthday Jackson!

This sweet little boy is 1! He is absolutely adorable and smiles all the time. We decided to go ahead and combine his one year shoot with a family shoot. We just took pictures this past Christmas and I can't believe how much the kids have changed since then. The first time I took pictures for this family was back when Melanie was pregnant with Jackson.

We took pictures at Mayfield Park and it was absolutely beautiful. Jackson was more interested in roaming everywhere than taking pictures, but I was still able to catch him :) And we also found out that the icing on that cake is very very very blue...wonder if they were able to get all that out of that white shirt...

The A Family

You may remember this wonderful family from a year or so back here when sweet little Emery was born. They grow so fast :( We had a nice little stroll around the park, which is quite a bit of exercise chasing two little girls. These girls have the most beautiful smiles, you can't help but smile back. And I'm so excited to find out that before long, there will be another little baby to take pictures of :) Congrats A family!

The C Family

Meet the C Family. They are from my old state of Arkansas and were referred by a friend from back home. Let me tell you, we had to work for this photo shoot! We tried literally for months to set this up, but the weather wasn't cooperative. Finally, we pulled it off and everything turned out great. Their little girl is so sweet and was a photographer's dream. She smiled and posed the whole time. I hope to have many more shoots with this wonderful family in the future.
