The Z Family

First of all, I want to say a special thanks to the Z family for braving the bitter, oh-so-unlike-Texas cold for this photo shoot. This was another shoot that was pushed around because of the rain and we had a very small window of opportunity to get this one done in time for Christmas. But we did it! We froze our tushies off, but we did it! I LOVE this park and have been looking forward to shooting at it for a while now. And aside from the crazy attack ducks (you'd think those things never eat or something!!), it was just as I had imagined.

You may recognize Ashley from my website (the blonde) because I have had the pleasure of shooting her wedding and maternity pictures for both children-thanks Ashley!! This family is big and full of personality, which makes for a fun shoot. fo. sho :0

Enjoy!!

What a cutie!!

I lllloooooovvvveeee this picture!! Everything about it! I like to call
them the Trenchcoat Duo :)

I love it when I tell people to just talk/look at each other and
they look at me like I've lost my mind! Ha! I know they thought
I was crazy, but they did it. You guys did awesome!!!

Another P family!

Meet the P family--Chris and Stephanie are set to wed next year and I'm looking forward to shooting their engagement photos soon! But until then, a little Holiday shoot will do. This is their first Christmas card togther (awwwww) so that is exciting! Also included in this holiday shoot is Hunter. I've known Hunter since he was only a few weeks old and I must say, he is growing into quite the handsome little boy!
Well, I hope you all enjoy the pictures of this super cute little family!

The R Family

I will say that Mother Nature has been causing quite a few reschedules lately with all the rain :( But I was still able to make it out to Red Rock to take holiday pictures for the R family. I must say, this was a crazy, hillarious photo shoot! I guess that's what happens when you get this many people together and try to have them all look at the camera! This shoot is a prime example of why you shouldn't have exact expectations of what you want your kids to do, just let 'em go! Between me chasing them around and the hoots and hollers of grandpa, we were able to get some really cute pictures. I don't know what was more fun--taking the pictures or retouching them and laughing at all the different expressions these kiddos made :) This is a very sweet family and I thank them so much for allowing me to capture their family this year.

My favorite family, the P family!!

What to say about the P family...they.are.awesome. I've done so many shoots for them, I've lost count! It's to the point that we don't really even have to discuss what to do anymore, everyone just takes their place :) They are really fun to work with and it doesn't hurt that they are the PRETTIEST family I've ever seen!!! I mean seriously! Now the last time I photographed little Max was for his 1st birthday back in July. He has changed so much since then and I really got to capture his great personality this time :) We had a fun time playing peek-a-boo around the colomns and playing with his favorite stuffed animals. We tried to hit up the waterfall-minus-the water (how does a place have a waterfall and NOT have it turned on?!) but Max was officially done by then, so we called it a wrap. But I think it was still very successful! Yay! Enjoy!

Go Broncos!!

Well, I got to take a trip down memory lane a couple of weeks ago when I was invited to take pictures for the Dayton Bronco Cheerleaders at a game in Austin. Special thanks to my dear neice Katie for the gig :) Anyway, even though it has only been a couple of years since I have been out of high school (or so I tell myself), it all came back to me so quickly. Now don't get me wrong, I have nooooo desire to go back (can you say DRAMA!!) but it was fun reliving those days for a couple of hours. First off, let me tell you that even though this game was over 3 hours away from Dayton (and not even a championship game), I'm pretty sure 90% of the town was there for support. Now THAT my friend, is impressive. Anyway, on to the cheerleaders!!! They were pretty darn impressive, too! Apparently, several of them were either sick or injured. And on top of that, they had to trade in their beautiful Saturday at home with all there big Saturday plans to be at this game all the way in Austin (3 hr bus ride...cheer...3 hr bus ride...dark). But the show must go on, and that they did! Even though I liked watching the cheers, it was really fun to watch them in between cheers just hangin out with each other. You can tell that even though this wasn't their fav place to be, they still enjoyed being with each other.
A special thanks to Alda Wood for allowing me to do this--hope you're pleased!! I had a great time!
Sooo, here are some of my pics. Take a trip with me--yelling fans...drums pounding...trumpets (and clarinets--go clarinets!) blaring...cheers, flips, jumps...intense football players...LET'S GO!!!

Meet Baby Claira...

I went last week and took pictures of little Claira and I LOVE me a good, tiny newborn! She was very happy as long as I wasn't trying to take pictures of her :) It took a while, but after a lot of comfort breaks, we were able to get some good pictures of her. Since she was born the Monday before Halloween, it was only fitting to put her in a girlie little Halloween tutu and take some pics :) And her Dadddy is in the Army so we had to take some pics with all his gear-too cute! It's always funny to watch newborns and all their movements and quirks. Claira liked to stick her tongue out all the time and one leg was always sticking out straight! Mommy said that must've been the leg that was wedged in her ribcage the last few weeks :)

Baby Claira, your Mommy and Daddy have been waiting for you for a long time and I can tell they are going to love you and give you the world. Well, here's a sneak-peek of her photo shoot --Enjoy!

So.stinkin.cute

I guess everyone says that about their own children, but wow--really cute! We went to A Day With Thomas a few weekends ago and I must say, it's a tad bit over-rated :( But the kids had fun and thats all that matters! We rode on Thomas but that was not their highlight-it was everything else BUT that--figures. So, I'm posting some of my fav pics from that outing and not a one features our big blue friend Thomas (except for on the kids clothes). BTW, whoever thought the word "cheese!" would produce a photo-worthy smile obviously never had children. Shane always looks like he's gritting his teeth-we're working on that :)

My baby is 5!!

Well, I figured I could feature one of my own as my first official photography post, so here he is! Shane turned 5 this month and he says he's going to be a rockstar when he grows up. So I only thought it fitting to take his pics in a rockstar t-shirt. He definitely hammed it up for me! But among all those silly shots, I was able to get some really cute ones and here they are! Oh, and I also designed his rockin' invitation :) Enjoy!

It's official!

Ok, here it is...I now have a blog, folks! Technology is upon me! Now, if only I could bring myself to create a Facebook acct...nah! I think I'll just continue to make my friends and family look at me with that combo look of disbelief and disgust when I say I don't have one. That's more fun anyway :) Now lets see if I can keep up with this thing- I just might realize I have a boring and eventless life-HIGHLY doubtful! Toodles!
