The L Family

Meet the L family. This shoot almost didn't happen - first rain, then possible impending cold front and CRAZY wind. But luckily all went well and we were able to get it done. I must go on record of saying Sarah has the greatest smile ever, lucky girl! And these guys will do anything to get a smile out of their little guy! They were signing, dancing, crawling on the ground - very impressive. But by the end, it was obvious that little Hudson was purposely avoiding my camera. Seriously, I could be right in front of him and he would look right past me. He sure had no problems smiling at the ladies that walked by on the trail though, ha! Makes a Daddy proud, I'm sure :) He was a cutie though, especially those blue eyes!

The P Family + baby bump

I know I sound like a broken record when I say I love the P Family, but it's true. I think my first official photo shoot of Mike and Rachea was back when she was pregnant with Max. And now here we are 3 years later with another little bun in the oven. They are just such a beautiful family inside and out and I look forward to their photo sessions. This year was quite the challenge being that their shoot was scheduled for the ONE day it rained in Texas in several months. That figures...

But we could not be swayed by the rain, no!! We set out for our destination, drizzle and all. And believe it or not, it stopped raining as soon as we pulled into the parking lot and started back up as soon as we wrapped up! And what made it even better was the PERFECT lighting. Everything was beautiful - wet, but beautiful.

Enjoy this beautiful family and look forward to newborn pics soon :)

Baby Peighton

Well, this is another photo shoot that is dear to my heart. This beautiful little girl belongs to my dear friend and old college suitemate Nichole and her husband. Through them, I've been able to experience the adoption journey and all that comes along with that. The planning, the waiting, and now the joy of seeing two people so deserving of a baby to finally be able to bring one home. They are truly two of the best people you will ever know and they are going to be terrific parents. Nichole is my scrapbooking sidekick and I know she's going to love these as much as I loved taking them. Congratultations guys, she is absolutely precious.

The M Family

Edina found me through another client of mine and asked that I take her daughter's birthday pictures. Once again, the things we do for pictures - the only time we could do it was on a Sunday evening when the high that day was probably about 110. And it wasn't a whole lot better in the shade, even at 7pm :( Poor little M was sweating like crazy, but she was having a blast! We went to Mayfield Park and she had such a good time looking at all the ponds, peacocks, and people. M held up better than most kids I photograph - she braved the heat as well as 3 outfits! She is just as sweet as she can be and a joy to photograph. I look forward to seeing how she takes care of her baby sister due to make an appearance in a few short weeks.

What a sweet picture of a girl and her Daddy :)

She was very intent on reading to her baby.

We were reminded that where there are beautiful peacocks, there is also peacock poop. Luckily a spray bottle took care of the problem :)

This is one of those action shots that I just love, don't ask me why. I just do...

She was trying to sneak up of the peacocks :)

She is really excited about her baby sister on the way :)

What a sweet family

The R Family

Ahh, my yearly visit with the R family. We did a shoot this time last year in downtown Round Rock. I now know that these shoots are going to be far from boring. These kids know how to ham it up for the camera, even when they are tired because of being forced out of bed to beat the Texas heat. This is my 3rd session with this family and it's fun to see how everyone changes over the years. Thanks for bearing the heat with me and making me laugh!

Too funny!

Baby TC is here!

This shoot has special meaning to me for a couple of reasons. One, Mary is one of my best childhood friends. We had a lot of fun growing up and I'm glad she's still a part of my life today. Another reason is that her husband does what few can, he's a soldier. He was actually deployed when his son was born via emergency c-section and then put in NICU. This has been a very stressful situation for them, but Daddy is finally here and Mommy and baby are doing good. Meet TC. He has 3 older sisters, so good luck keeping up, TC! He was a model baby for me. He let us do whatever we wanted with him and only cried for a total of probably 2 minutes the entire time. Big sister C wasn't quite as cooperative, but we were able to get a few of her squeezed in :) Thank you Mary for always having faith in my photography skills and I'm really happy for you and your beautiful family! Enjoy!

That's one proud Daddy :)

Son of a Soldier

LOVE that belly!

Doesn't he have the most perfect little face you've ever seen?

The whole family -- this was no easy photo to take! :)

This should give you an idea what we went through for that ONE family photo!

All thanks to this little angelic face :)

This is Mary with her two oldest girls -- These are my favorite kind of photos to take. I love capturing true emotion. If this picture doesn't make you smile, you're crazy...

Love this family...
